Again, I wasnt trying to get you worked up, however I was lookin at this post when another tech walked by and saw the pictures... He is an old school Ford guy / Mustang guy / engine builder and those were his exact words to me. I hope you make the #s you are going for. Im curious to see the final outcome.. nothing like hearing a cammed pushrod motor in a new-edge

nah np... im just working with a guy who builds these motors and has gone through a few of them in his mustang... every car/motor is different, so im not going to try saying mine will do what his did, but it really shouldnt be too far off considering that im running the same setup as him....if anything i may not get the numbers i want because of my intake... its a great intake for a stock motor, but my heads are ported WAY larger than the intake, so its kind of a choke point...i would look for a new one but i think im going to see how it does with the one i have...ive got an edelbrock performer 460...i got it so cheap i couldnt pass it up

the less power i make on motor, the bigger the shot of spray is going to be...if i fall a little short ill up it to a 225 shot

and if you dont think a h/c/i 460 is capable of 450hp, then you need to go research some more

i have a full race port job on the heads, a 500 lift cam, decent intake, and a 750 carb...that is good for 400-450 at the wheels... and even more torque.... i really dont care about how much it makes on paper, but im aiming for low 12s without spray

im building the exact setup the guy who helped me build it was using and he made plenty of power...the car should be running low 12s on motor, and then 11s with the 200 shot wet kit

i could have bought a blower for the price of the swap, but then i would have needed to buy a new shortblock.... for the cost of a shortblock i could punch this motor out to a 557, which is the plan once the swap is finished....the motor going into it is just a play around motor, it wont be staying...thats why i bought 2 of them... once the swap is done, im building a stroker

the weigh gain doesnt bother me, ill be losing some of it anyways....as it sits now and how it will sit after the swap, i plan to only gain 250lbs
You seem like you are shooting low on the track times with the power numbers you are talking about. 12's with 450rwhp? 11's with 650rwhp?

I'm shooting for 500rwhp N/A with my new motor, and if it don't go 10's I'm gonna set it on fire.

Yea, it may take some work to get that extra weight to transfer correctly. Good luck.
