Default guys with cams, what is your idle rpm set at?

I am currently at about 900 and sometimes feel like its a wee bit high and takes some of the lope out. What are you others at?

Mine is set at 850 and I think it's about perfect. Anything lower and the car has trouble staying running and anything higher just seems excessive.

yeah i know that sweet spot is a pain in the rear to find sometimes. I think I might lower mine a bit.

Idle is the hardest thing to tune. Between 8-850 depending on the cam. I'm right about in the middle w/ 2.5 blower cams

thanks for the replies guys. I need to lower mine some. Is the best way to do it... just make sure its warm and then turn the idle adjustment screw until it kills and then go back a hair each time until it will stay running???

You can do it with the screw on the throttle body.... but I prefer just having the tuner do it when it's still on the dyno.

you may also want to check your timing. If your car feels like it's going to lope out at lower idles with a mild cam it could be the timing is off or needs to be adjusted for the cam.
