Cam question
Call Tim over at MPH and get a set of his custom blower grinds. They will be good for over 280rwhp with full bolt ons N/A. I have already passed CA emissions with them with a mildly modified stock tune, probably would have passed with a completely stock tune, but I didn't want to chance it. As for how well they perform once FI, there is very few cams that even come close to them.

or do you literally mean call him and have him make me a custom set? And when you say a mildly modified stock tune, thats not implying that they can be run on a stock car.
also i think CA is more strict with emissions than PA, but i still need to be careful. i just got my car inspected so i am good for a year and hopefully this car wont be my DD next year either so then i wouldnt have to rely on the mustang to get me to work if it would fail.
also how do you like them? trying to look in your sig, but are you still running NA or a blower.
oh yeah and it says its good with the s trim. that means any of the s trims right? i plan on doing the DIY blower kit, and i think there are a few different versions of the s trim i can get.

Yes, cams can screw with emissions. There are some possible ways around that with tuning, running stock exhaust, injectors, etc...but there are no guarantees. It depends on the testing as well.
Your car does have the PI heads assuming it has the stock motor.
Those cams are good for a mild blower setup.

also my motor is stock, so thanks, i do have PI heads.
now i am looking into the MPH cam that tbirdscwd suggested.
are these the ones you mean?

For N/A they will run just fine on a completely stock tune, but will make much more power once tuned. They require very little tuning to make good power. My numbers in my sig are N/A. The car has enough power to be in the mid-high 12s, I just need a little more practice.

Those are the ones you want for a centri setup. They will work great with whatever centri blower you throw at them including a DIY s-trim kit. When I was FI, I made 421rwhp with a 10psi Procharger these cams with stock heads on a very safe 91 octane tune vs about 380rwhp before the cams. I was probably making more power than that given my recent discovery that I was running clogged catalytic converters.

Cool. I'll probably go with them then. That price is for a set of two, right?
So your saying too, that you can install them without a tune and there will be no idling issues? Granted a tune, I would assume, gets more power out of them.
Thanks for the info.
Correct, that's the price for the pair. My car ran just fine with a completely stock tune. It idles a little lower, but without getting into too many specs, the cams profile isn't all that aggressive compared to a lot of cams you see out there. These guys have done countless hours of work on these cams and have shown that you don't need a crazy cam to make lots of power on these 4.6 mod motors. They have a nice little chop at idle and make plenty of power on boost and pretty good power off too. They don't ruin your car for daily driving which some cams can do.
Here's a clip of my car at idle with these cams right after they went in. They are quite a bit more "choppy" not that the car is broken in. My camera sucks for audio quality. This is with a stock mid-pipe as well. With an aftermarket catted or O/R pipe they will be much more noticeable as well. I'll try to get a better sound clip on the stock tune now that they are broken in and I have a Bassani X

FYI, I'm putting down 270+ on a mustang dyno with the MPH grind and stock heads making power past 6200rpm and trapping almost 110mph N/A.......these cams are the **** and only get better with a blower.
They will add substantial power no matter how much pressure you plan on running.

So does anyone have any good recomendations for a good set of blower cams. MPH's website doesn't work anymore and I did look at the place someone mentioned on a previous page. Anywhere else have any good reputations?
