yes....yes you should. to be honest originality starts with ideas that everyone else thinks are stupid. New crazes are started by people who think outside the box. If those rims were affordable for everyone like cobra rims and he put them on and people decided they liked them....guess what it becomes the 6th wheel that would be seen on every mustang. me personally i try to think of stuff a little out of normal price range and a little odd. Why? because i want my car to look good because its mine not because it looks like the guys down the street. unfortunutly....im still putting a roush bumper on and i have fr500....lol. But how many mustangs will be flat RED!!! hahahahah by the time i get it done i probebly wont be the first...thats the problem with not having any money. other people get to make my ideas real before i can.

 

go for it, I've been ridiculed more than once for the decisions I've made on my car, in the end the outcome of all those "bad" idea's haven't been too bad and I love the way the car looks. There are a few things that bug me though, but I don't have the money required to fix it. But way to sound just like every other mustang owner though, if that was your intent, you win!

actually the point I was TRYING to make is just because you decided to buy diff wheels/parts/brand ect than the norm doesnt mean that you are better or in this case look better. If you pay attention I didnt say the wheels posted were ugly or stupid ect... I just hate when someone bashes others for having something the same as others. Ok great you bought some light weight wheels tha are prob better quality and better for road racing or whatever. good for you, sorry i bought saleens because I like the way they look on my car. I guess im just a typical guy. To me, certain things are just made to go with our cars. oh my I sound like every other mustang owner... the point im making has nuthing to do with owning a mustang, if I could sell this f'ing car and get what I want for it would b gone. im not that typical "mustang owner" u think I am. If I had the funds there would be a nice luxury sadan or escalde in my garage along side a damn modded zo6... I guess I sound like a typical GM guy too huh... im going to finish my drink and have sex now, goodnite

I agree with you and many others that love their rims and are more common that there are rims that look good, only thing I take exception too is the whole getting things to be different just to be different thing. I like a tastefully modded car regardless of what it has on it, however I also respect those that mod the car with more performance goals and less exterior look. Light rims in the sizes we like on mustangs are hard to come by, if people can get some that look a little different and still not look hideous then I say by all means try em.

Most car guys have preferences in the way they want their cars to look, I'm more into european cars and like some of the subtleties of their styling. Most mustang guys prefer to have a certain look, it looks good as is but it can be a bit on the monotonous side sometimes.

At the end of the day, if you like it, do it!

 

Coming from the guy that wants wheels that are probably on at least 5000 other cars. Very original, H0SS! (What else is new?)

It's a good thing something as simple as what wheels most people like is going to make you want to get rid of your car.

At what point do you draw the line with the 'being original DONT FOLLOW LEAD!!11' stuff?
