Midpipe advice needed
Take a flashlight and look inside them, if you see nothing but shiny/smooth metal, they are LM1's, anything that looks like a cheesgrater is LM2's. I have an SLP catted x and LM1's. People tell me they cant beive it has cats because it is so loud, yet it idles like a kitten..I have a sound clip on youtube somewhere...it would likely be under the same username as here, but i cant search for it at work to show you.
checked out your vid and it sounds awesome! Oh and thanks for the tip of looking inside, all i saw was smooth and shiny, so it looks like ill be waking the dead with the magnaflow o/r x pipe! thanks everyone again for the help, it should be here today sometime and ill slap it on today or tomorrow. ill let you guys know how it goes!
lol thanks, I'm kind of partial to the sound myself lol. Good luck!
well, i put the pipe in yesterday, everything went great and it sounds awesome! it ended up being a pain in the *** though with how rusted the stock h pipe/bolts were...and let me say, getting the bolts off the passenger side was a nightmare! also on the left side rear o2 sensor it looks like the previous owner did something to it and it was still short even with the extensions, so i just twist tied each part of the extension on that side to safe places and it isnt connected. was this a good idea or will this cause problems not being connected at all? thanks again guys!
If your saying that the rear O2's are no longer connected, and you dont have them turned off in a tune, then your car will throw a CEL.
I would look into getting plug-n-play O2 MIL's. You get them from American muscle and act like another 3" or so extension.

I have these in my 04 with o/r x pipe and work great. never threw a code for O2's so they are doing their job.

So is your car ungodly loud with no tone or is it just loud with a little bit of tone? And just so everyone knows, the LM1 and LM2 dont have the same dimensions. The LM1 has a smaller outter dimension for the barrel of the muffler. The LM2 is a larger muffler overall, but they are both the same length.
Hahaha ok, ok, I will. Be forewarned though that it will be taken with my phone so it will probably suck. But yea, its really really loud and its got a pretty deep tone to it. Everyone I've talked to said it sounds really good, but who knows. I like how it sounds, but I think its just a little too raspy, but I'm still happy with it. I have the MIL for the o2 sensors now, I was just too excited to wait for them. (My pipe and extensions/mil elims. Shipped seperately). For the drivers side I have to use 2 extensions because the previous owner did something with the o2 sensor I guess and it was a little further towards the front of the car. Ill try and get some clips posted later on today when I'm home from work!
