i'm going bald
Hi every one. I have a problem with my 03 centennial gt thats been driving me to rip my hair out. My car idles weird kinda like its missing. It feels like this. ......0............0..0...........0.....0......00. ...0........0. You get the picture. The car has 46k miles on it. Ive replaced the fuel filter, OEM style plugs twice, all 8 coils, cleaned maf sensor, iac sensor and throttle body.the weird thing is that its not throwing any codes. It gets a little better when I turn on yhe AC though. Even when I hook up my elm27 to it it just says no pending codes. I also feel it at low cruising speeds, kinda like the car is jerking front and back gently. I've tried resetting the computer but no dice. I took it to the shop and they smoked it but found no vaccum leaks. And couldnt figure it out. Please help this car is going to make me go on rogaine.

Maybe your fuel pump is going out? This thread has info on checking fuel pressure: http://www.mustangevolution.com/forum/f280/t331318/

Mine did this a while back, slight intermittent miss almost exclusively at idle. Replaced plugs, twice. New coils. Turned off EGR and disconnected the line coming from DPFE. Looked for vac leaks several times. Cleaned MAF. New fuel filter. And probably a couple other things I'm not thinking of right now. No dtc's or anything else from viewing live data that gave me any direction, I chased this **** for over a year and a half.....
The fix? I closed the gap on the plugs, from the factory spec of .054" to .046" and haven't looked back.

Trust me dude, just close 'em to .046". Can't tell you the science behind it, but it was a tip I picked up from somebody smarter than me and it worked.
Or, keep pulling your hair out. It's up to you. I prefer to try the simple and inexpensive things first though.
