Default 2005 Mustang StreetFighter Torque Converter need help part2

hi ppl

just got my 2005 Mustang StreetFighter Torque Converter put in at my garage. done all the tunes what was needed from brentspeed.
went to take it for a drive pulls lovely in 1st and 2nd BUT it dosent want to change to 3rd it keeps hitting the rev limiter. then after the over drive light comes on starts flashing on and off. so we took it back to the garage they thought it mite not have enough fluid in the transmission. they put some more fluid in took for drive agen same things happon ?

But when i drive slowly all gears work ok its only when i pull my foot to the floor. i tryed it in stock setting but still dose the same thing it drives ok when im driving slow but its like the transmission jumps somtimes when its in gear. but when i put my foot to the floor 1st and 2nd ok but hits the rev limiter in 3rd and after over drive light comes on and starts flashing on and off agen

so it not? the tune it most be somthing with the converter then ???

any ideas

thanks agen

You might have the tranny shop check the fluid again. Whenever you change a torque converter it can take a LOT of fluid out of the transmission.

I've never fooled with one on a 2005+ but having replaced them before in other cars, it would not be uncommon to put 6-7-or 8 quarts of fluid back in the transmission, and I understand that changing/filling fluid on this transmission is a major pain, so it could be that the transmission shop still hasn't gotten the fluid level right. Typically you have to fill it up, run the car for a bit, top it up again, run the car, top it up, and so on.

thanks for your help thats what we are doing at the moment im going back on monday so they can fill the fluid up more.
but if i drive the car like the way it is and whats it doing with the hole overdrive light flashing thingis it ok to drive it normaly i dont want to damage anything.

so thats are best bet keep on driving and toping it up with fluid how will i know when its ok anything to look out for.

While you are at it here u might want to buy a new pan with a dipstick. Then there will be no guess work on filling it up and youll gain a little capasity.

Performance Automatic 301 963-8078
they used my carto test them this past summer so i got the first one. man it's soooo nice being able to check the fluid without jacking up the car and all that crap. it also has a drainplug and holds 4 additional quarts of fluid. even with my loose converter my trans temps never vary more than 20degrees.
anybody with an auto should seriously consider this. i know it won't make you faster but it sure as heck will make it easier for you to service the trans and keeping the fluid temperaturestable will always improve the life of the trans.
