30 isn't unbelievable. I used to get that with my 3.31s on the freeway. (This is w/ taking it easy ofcourse)

That's a little hard to swallow, 10mpg better than the rest of us are seeing is too much of a stretch. We didn't even see close to that under the EPA's old measurement standards....

For those with custom tunes and/or different injectors, it's common to get those really high MPG. My MPG is off by 20%. I will get 30 mpg on the computer but in reality it's 25 mpg.

I will admit, my daily numbers may be higher than the average because my daily drive consists of ~58 miles of freeway (averaging any where from 5-80mph depending on traffic) and less than 4 miles of non-freeway. If I had to drive stoplight to stoplight around town all the time, I'd probably be in the 15-18 range. However, on a strictly highway trip, fillup to fillup, I can do 30mpg every time.

My C/S came with 3.55 gears, and I have a K&N drop in filter, FRPP X-pipe, and canned 91 octane Diablosport tune......I would think my numbers shouldn't be too far from bone stock.

I averaged 23-24ish on a long road trip recently cruising 83 mph. If I had driven 75 it might have gotten a few mpg better.

Breathegood, I'm right with you on mpg. I think I get low to mid 30s on the highway but, at 60-65 mph. I regularly take 300 mile round trip drives and after I fill back up, I get anywhere from 27 to 31 mph combined. But, it's mostly interstate driving that gets me those numbers. If we keep our foot out of the power, these cars are very decent on the gas expense. For those that say the dash mpg display is inaccurate, yes, it is. But only by about 1-2 mpg. Almost every time I fill up, the dash mpg display is about 1.5 mpg on the high side. That's not so terribly inaccurate. It's not like when it tells me I'm getting 30 mpg, I'm only getting 25. Nope, it's not that far off.

I'm not sure I buy the 30+ mpg numbers... are you guys on stock tires and wheels?

I have 3.31s and just drove over 900 miles to Florida on the very flat I-10. It was only me (175lbs), my golf clubs and 1 small bag... got 26.7mpg at 70-72mph, hand calculated, on my 89 tune.

I'm not sure how you can get 5-7mpg more than me especially when I'm driving in near ideal 'MPG conditions'.

One time on a straight 90 mile trip I had the cruise set on 67-68 and got 27.9mpg... my personal record.

You see my mods in my sig. My tires actually have not as good rolling resistance and hurt my mpg. I think I have a nice combo of power with the CAI & Tune and economy and comfort with the tires, mpg coil packs and motor silk. Something's working in that combo to give me these nice fuel economy numbers. If I went for power only, I wouldn't be seeing these numbers I'm sure. I've actually thought about getting a special flywheel and driveshaft for even better fuel economy but, I've got to stop somewhere. I'm fine where I'm at now.
