...as far as the HP...as I look at the AM kit...

this is not the H.O. kit....the H.O. kit from Brenspeed is an additional $1600(i think), and will give you more PSI and makes about 50 more HP.
whats the coldest it's been there?? this season for us, it's only gotten down to -16, hovering in the single digits most of the days... I thought about keeping mine on during the winter, but have decided not to.

I don't mind taking it off it means saving the unit of usage and possible damage lol

I was also looking at that kit early last year. I really like that kit, only bothered me was that it wasn't 50 state legal etc. Larger than the M90, and pretty much a late model Cobra SVT SC unit..

^^ Tru dat.

I just priced out a set of bogarts off stage3 and about messed up my pants. $1800 just for the wheels. Add in the tires and you could dump 3 grand into a drag setup no problem-o.

I don't think I have the money to play this game. :/

With that kind of *** in your avatar, you have no business being out playing with cars!!!

Indeed, though. Do your research, visit with locals who have different setups, etc. They are different, and will provide power/torque differently. Be sure you understand what you're getting.

And self-installation for most people is not overly difficult. There will likely be a couple of steps you wont be comfortable doing, depending on the setup.

But it's a great mod and can be a safe addition to give you extra power!

Well after gathering all the info I have gotten from everyone....I think I will eventually end up getting a Saleen Super Shaker. It puts out a lot more HP and torque compared to the Vortech HO.

I think for cruising around I will prefer the low end power and I want a shaker scoop on my car......it sounds pretty sick with the whine coming from the shaker.....coupled that with a throaty exhaust.....it is very badass!

I have got too many other mods to put on, so I am waiting for it go on sale.....unless someone has a good buy on it right now. I saw on another forum that JDM Engineering had it on sale for $5000 about 14 months ago.

Anyone know where the best price might be right now?

Don't expect anything less than $6,500... those suckers are expensive, but worth it!

Right now, most places sell it for $6000 to $6300. Retail now is $6300, use to be $7000 when it first came out.

Hopefully, something comes up over the next year or so. I can wait as I still have a ton of stuff to put on (i.e. JBA headers, FRPP 410 gears, Cervinis chin spoiler, Cervinis side scoops, Hawks pads etc.). All sitting in my basement right now

I wish I could get one, but the winters up here suck and ice will build up on the shaker vent and suck in all the other water, snow into there lulz

I thought about just getting a Saleen and modifying a cdc shaker hood onto it somehow
