My entire fats and skinnies setup cost me less than $1400 for wheels and tires. I don't think you can find them that cheap anymore, but you could still get my same setup for under $1600. Brenspeed.com sells the 15x8 5.5" backspace and 15x3.75 1.5" backspace Race Star wheels for under $800 as a set. Direct fit, no modification. Throw in the 275/60/15 ET Streets and 26x6x15 Sportsman S/Rs and you're still right at $1600. Brenspeed has great deals.

I thought about just getting a Saleen and modifying a cdc shaker hood onto it somehow
Where do you live? If you have got a Vortech.....a CDC shaker hood scoop will fit no problem.

Thanks man looks like the bogarts are pretty much a ripoff.

Will keep that package in mind if the 18s I have now won't fit a tire that gets the job done. Not sure if I need that much tire yet or not.

Damn. With all this 6 and 7 grand supercharger talk I'm glad I got the polished M90 shipped to my door for 3460.00!! Steal of the century if you don't want to go forged!

No problem. With the twin screw you'll want as much sidewall as possible. On 18" wheels, even drag radials will want to sit and spin.

That's kinda what I'm afraid of but at this point I just have to much money into this setup to not try it out before replacing it with something else. Probably going to go with a 275/45/18 M&H or the 285/40/18 NT05R. I don't really expect to be able to rev up, dump it, and dead hook. If I can slip it a bit and keep from spinning then I'll be happy for now.

I never had any luck with Nitto radials. I know people who swear by them, but Mickey Thompsons and Hoosiers have always been tops for me.

MT might start making a 285/40/18 drag radial and if they do I'll pick that up instead. Basically I want something that is going to fit a 18x9.5" rim and be 27-28" overall diameter. Given those criteria it's a pretty narrow range of options out there right now. Really, only two (three if you count the 555R).

Alaska. Cold, icy, nasty weather.. mostly just cold. East coast has more snow, but we're way colder I think.

I take the Vortech off during the winter for safetys sake (both mine, and the supercharger : long story! buah!)

I have been thinking about getting the Saleen...
