I just double-checked @ fordracingparts.com before I said that b/c I couldn't remember for sure, but that's stock height for a roller 302.

www.summitracing.com
www.fordracingparts.com

either of those should tell you what you're looking for....

not to put a damper on your prarade..I like the afr but why after all these years haven't they upgrade the spring instead of making the cust paying for them because their springs suck?.....on any heads have the spring set up for your cam....like in 88's case hell the stock sping with that cam won't float til about 5500 or so.....so take a few mins to check other options... and if you need help just ask

Hey 2kwik, what other options do you have in mind? It's not that the springs they sell with their heads are junk, the standard springs are better than the stock ones, but because aftermarket cams are more agressive they recommend upgrading the springs to even stronger, which is what I was going to do for relatively cheap reasurance. I plan on takin the new cam to about 6000rpm so i find valve float around 5800+ unacceptable, I'd just rather not chance it.

I went w/ the Crane valve spring kit on summit. It was for my ported E7's, but I don't see why it wouldn't work on other heads. Also check out comp cams....but they're pricey.

dont get afr dude, get edelbrock performer heads. my buddy swapped his edel rpm II heads for 165 and lost 11 hp and 14.3 torque at 5400 rpms on the dyno. the edelbrock heads are cheaper and better, i hear so much about afr being better than edelbrock, but im not buying it now, they even come with .650 lift springs already, any set of alum heads that come assembled should come with stouter springs than that. i dont dont buy into the afr thing...i mean, they are still in diapers compared to edelbrock. theyve been here for decades. this is my opinion so dont flame on me everybody. my buddy seen the proof though.
