Default Flaming River stuff........

Installed Flaming River manual conversion into my car todat ('84 'Stang)
Never did one before. 4 1/2 hours start to finish.
Only used air tools to get wheels off.
They seem to make a good product, even had good instructions.
Only thing I'd say is be careful of burrs on the ends of the shafts. I used a fine file for 3 minutes and all was fine.
Nothing is lined up yet as that is beyond the scope of my tools.
I'm wonderning if I can't use 2 construction lasers and a striaght edge and get real close.
Otherwise, its get it up on the trailer and take it someplace.
New Moroso springs and 90/10 struts are next.......

If you know the rear axle is square you can "string" it. Won't be "dead on" but will be close enough to drive it to the shop without killing the tires.

Yep, thats true.
After knowing some peeps that worked for FOMOCO back in the Fox days I would be surprised if anything is near square.
Trailer is no big deal, I own one and own good truck too.....

I have the moroso springs and I wouldn't really recommend them up front unless your cutting them. My car sits about 3 in higher then stock in the front and 1 in higher in the rear. The weight transfer with them is really good but my car just looks like I put a lift kit on it.

No problem, got a brand new air powered cut-off tool and abou 8 blades.
Was planning on it. Want to sit as low as I can and still get on trailer.
Haven't looked in NHRA book yet but for years they have said ' 3 1/2" ground clearance'. Neve seen them check any body......
