Too big of a tb can cause slight hesitation down low, and could possibly get a small gain up high once airspeed is high enough to use the extra space. Things need to be kept relivant to one another.

Planning on getting a 70mmTB with a 76MM maf but was advised to get a 73MM maf...what would be a good match

In all seriousness though, check out the v6 section. They will be better suited to answer you're question since they all have v6's.
