i'm doing my gears next weekend and want a plug for the tail of tranny. it's a t5. i thought i saw one for sale on 50resto but now i can't find it. summit has one but i don't think it will fit my transmission. anyone seen where i can get one?

i can't get that one for 83-94 to open. is it the plug to keep the tranny fluid from leaking out while the driveshaft is off? or is a seal. i got a new seal just want a plug to keep the fluid in while i have the driveshaft out. thanks!

Why not just wire the shaft up to something to keep it out of your way and in the tranny?

good idea. i'm gonna do the ujoint while it's out. i suppose i can do what i used to do with other cars and that's a plastic baggie and a rubber band. just thought i saw one somewhere for cheap and it would be handy to have around.

you can buy a set of plugs from a autoparts store sometimes, or maybe sears
