bigger valves flow better.... to an extent.

it seems liek your putting some decent work into these heads... might as well get the most out of them

adder, take my word on this..... stay away from manley.

that link was for REV brand valves, the people who run that company used to work for ferrea - you can do the math and figure out that REV makes a good product.

MANLEYS ARE FUGGING GARBAGE. i cant tell you how many times i have seen them fail, where a ferrea or similar quality valve held up.

So these rev valves are good valves then right? Also what do you think about increasing to 1.94/1.6 valves I think they are only $5 more then the 1.85/1.54 valves I was looking at.

Im doing most of the work myself to keep the costs down. Here are my plans for the whole engine to see if I need those big of valves or not.

GT-40 Explorer motor
Worked over GT-40 Heads
Explorer intake ported lower and increased tb inlet to 70mm
70mm TB
24lb injectors
1.6 RR
Custom Cam
CAI
Megasquirt V1
windage tray
1 5/8 Ceramic Shortie Headers
O/R H-pipe
Thurst Glasspacks to 2.5 tailpipes

+1 for the 1.94/1.6 valves. especially on the GT40 heads since they flow better, the larger valves will really help by just mild machine porting to open them up. and yes, REV makes a good valve

Then thats what I will do then. I hope I should get close to my 300 rwhp goal
