i take a close look at every part i install on anything, just because i've dealt with crap like this too much. after about 5 defective parts installed on customer vehicles, you start lookin over everything.

At work I use air craft glue from the parts store. Its really tachy and seals pretty good. When you buy a new water pump make sure you pull the backing plate off and put some on both sides of that gasket too. It will never leak. Also when bolting down a water pump I always try to make a cross of the bolts tightening them down so nothing warps.
I used the same....no leaks

That problem is over and done with...encountered a new one...read up a few posts.

Well, *knock on wood*, my fix seems to have worked. Silicone and overly tightened clamps ftw.

good. as long as you didn't create any splits in the hose by clamping it too tight, you should be good to go.

There aren't any splits. The hose is brand new. I'm excited . Now to tackle my exhaust leak.
