I want my mustang LOUDER. I'm looking into buying a BBK 2 1/2" O/R H Pipe for my mustang gt. There's two to choose from on summitracing.com. One has Catalytic Converters and the other doesn't. The one w/ cats is alot more expensive but it's street legal. My question is if I buy the one w/ the cats, will it sound any quieter than the one w/ out them? If so, how much? Will horsepower be reduced? .......As of now I have BBK shorty unequal length chrome headers and flowmaster mufflers with stock tail pipes. thanks

the ones with cats will sound close to stock, without the cats it sounds amazing

really?? so I won't hear any difference in sound if i buy the h pipe with cats? thats kinda surprising hmmm..... Well then I guess I'll go w/ the ones w/ out cats lol

if you want louder exhaust loose the cats..cats suck anyway..you will be alot more happier when u ditch them

You will hear some difference since the one with cats only has 2 (high flow if there is a such thing) cats while the stock has 4. So you will notice a difference in tone. I did if I do recall correctly when i put in the high flow cats one of bbk on my mustang.

i would get the off road and if you live in an area that requires an emissions check keep your old pipe to swap back on before the test

get the off road H and keep your stock one somewere !!!!!!!! then when/if you need your emissions checked put the stock one back on
