TFI Moduel

RE: TFI Moduel
Its the slim piece on the side of your distributor that has the plug going into it.
It controls spark output to your distributor. A signal from it goes to your eec then the eec controls the spark going to the plugs

RE: TFI Moduel
If the hall effect sends cam position through the tfi to the eec, then the eec calculates the spark advance then sends a signal to open the circuit which stops electricity flow & causes the coil to discharge sending spark to the distributor, then how is it that the tfi is what's telling the eec what to do? From the way it seems it appears like the tfi is just acting like a passage for current & amplifier to me... Not a sensor in any sort.
So when it comes down to it I still think the eec is controlling the spark & fuel, I could be wrong.
