Get a can of copper spray-a-gasket from the part store and coat the gasket and let it dry to a tacky dry and install it to torque specs and in the right torquing order. It you don't do that you can cause one part to be tighter than the other causing it to warp a little and blowing out the gasket.

I saw an Edelbrock gasket on Summit Racing before. It might be better than the Felpro that keeps blowing, although if that one keeps blowing there is probably more to it than gasket quality.

RTV is seriously the best for making gaskets. Try it out.

If you do use RTV be sure to let it dry completly before you go and add fluids.

Or you could use "The Right Stuff" gasket maker available at any parts store. This stuff you can add fluids right away. I usually just use it on rear end covers and intake water passage gasket areas, but thought it might work well for you. I've always gotten the cover real clean and the block real clean, put some RTV or "The Right Stuff" at the corners by the oil pan and put the water and timing cover gaskets on dry and torque to 25ftlbs.

Thanks everyone for all of the advice. I'm going to be replacing it soon. I just don't know which person to side with now haha. So many good replies. I'll definitely use a torque wrench though, I know that. Thanks again.
