I recently got my 84' mustang on the road.... and i have a stock h pipe with cats..... what should i do exhaust wise... and was thinking about putting like a mild cam in..... also need help deciding what cam should i do... s its not too aggressive but just perfect.

Is your 84 a single exhaust or duel exhaust? My 83 5.0 came factory with a single exhaust. If it is, you have to convert your crossmember to a later model because its only has one hump appose to two. Exhaust is really all preference, look up some vids of different brands such as BBK, MAC, Magnaflow etc and choose that way. Are you limited to money when it comes to exhaust because they all range in different prices. My MAC H-pipe + catback was a total of $300 brand new and my ceramic coated BBK shorties were 150 new off ebay.

cam should be done with heads and intake combo in mind, remember a cam swap = springs swap so carefully decide what the goal and combo will be as well as what is the budget
