transmission question

i got a 92 mustang gt and my transmission is leaking somewhere and im not sure what i should do 1st.,,,get a flush,,,or drop the tranny and get a new gasget and transmission filter (150$) at this one place,,,but if i do all that would it stop leaking or do i need to find out where it is leaking from what should i do 1st?

find were its leaking from 1st and 150 bucks to change the filter wow
