Default Bogging middle rpms

Hey everyone, my friends 91 lx starts to like bog and hesistate when u get on it at like 3,000 rpms. it does it till like 4200 rpms then it pull decent up to 6 grand when he shift. He has heads, cam, intake, tb, mass and full exhaust on his car. Does anyone know what is wrong with it to make it run this way, i thought maybe its running so bad because it need to be tuned, but im not sure. Any opinions are greatly appreciated.... thanks

Default RE: Bogging middle rpms

If he has all those mods and doesn't haven't it tuned, it could cause a bog. His timing could be improperly set at midrange or the A/F mixture could be too lean at those RPM's for those mods.

I'm assuming he hasn't had it dynoed since he did everything and with those mods and the RPM range you're talking about would change the A/F requirements and possibly timing requirements in that range.

Also, he may need to upgrade his fuel delivery to handle the higher HP.
