Need an new ECU...
Just upgraded to 24 lb injectors and grannatelli 70 mm MAS and car is running like ***. I was told that I need to have my computer reprogrammed or get a 93 Cobra computer. Problem is I can't find any for sale. Does anybody know of a good place to buy one or another brand of ECU that will work? TIA.

RE: Need an new ECU...
What year is your car and what computer is in there now? Is the 70mm calibrated for 24lb injectors? If it is, is it calibrated for 24lb injectors when using fox computer (A9L or A9P), 94-95 GT (T4M0) of 94-95 Cobra (J4J1)? It makes a big difference. I wouldn't change the computer, I'd just make sure you have the correct MAF.

Here are my car's specs:
89 mustang lx with an 87 302 efi motor. Stock 89 computer. Car has long tube headers, flomaster exhaust, pulleys, 1.7 roller rockers, 65mm throttle body, fuel regulater, upper and lower cobra intake, intake spacer, K&n intake. I think that about covers it. Oh and yes, the new MAS is calibrated for the 24# injectors, at least thats what I ordered.
Thanks,
Zach

YOu dont need 24's yet man, they are over kill when you are over 300 RWHP is when you need 24 lbs.... alot of people go over the 300 limit with 19's.... and the "proper way to do 24's is get the cobra mass air metere with computer... or take your car into a tuner and get the fuel tables all corected and tuned....If you bought a C&L Meter throw it out and get a Cobra 70mm or a Pro M or something.

I agree that you cant add bigger injectors like that to a basically bolt on engine and not change anything else in your tune and expect it to run right. At the very least have a competent tuner in your area datalog it to see whats going on and make any adjustments to your tune.
