I got my heads today in the mail. i got them from ebay. This is what the paper says that the guy sent with them.

1.940/1.540 stainless high flow valves 60cc chamber. Hi performance springs ( .600 lift ) PC seals hardened locks, retainers and seats, 5 angle valve job, CBN finished deck Pedestal rockers requierd.

I'm pretty sure they are brandnew, just that they were bolted on the motor but never ran or had oil on them.Atleast thats what the ebay description said....

The one things about gt40p heads, was i thought they didnt well at all over .500 lift. True ?
Will i be fine with valve and piston clearance ?
I was planning on getting new springs anyways, but i didnt realize that there were new ones on there, should i replace them ?
Also, what is a 5 angle valve job ?

Also, would it be a good idea to take them to a machine shop to get them checked out ?

For sure if they are used, have em check if they are level, or warped. I would also check the springs.

The guys says they are brandnew, and they look it.....There is just some sign of gasket where he bolted them on. He said they were bolted on but never had oil on them or ran. But i think i'll take them up to a shop anyways to ahve them checked.

Is .600 springs too much lift for these heads ?

Does the max lift depend on the heads or on the springs that are on the heads ?
