Help!!! About to buy mustang and something is wrong

probably, but it doesnt explain why the clutch is so damn hard to push in and why i have to basically stand on it to get it into 1st without alittle grindage.

could be the cable like was said or mine ended up being the peice the throw out bearing rides on was all tore up. replace it with an aftermarket steal one now, donno how it works yet though cars not done yet

So you guys think the cable could be making it feel like its towing a boat?

It feels like theres a load behind the car not like the clutch isnt fully engaged.

But any is possible

clutch cable will help with the pedal effort.. but i still bet that the cats (if it has any) are toast

A weak clutch can cause a car to not pull as hard, or as you say, feel like its pulling a boat. There are a vast number of things this could be. It is too hard to explain on the internet. Your best bet is to go to a shop that knows their stuff and get it looked over.

It passed smog with flying colors.

And Im going to try everything that I think it is before taking it into a shop and paying money to have it looked at
