Default BBK LONG TUBES

Does anyone else have a problem with these hitting the steering shaft? Any other solutions other than denting the header?

I know it really doesn't help you much but when I did them on my 98 Cobra I had to disconnect the steering shaft to get them done. Haven't done them on my 5.0 yet.......yet I'm sure if you check there's probably a thread or two on this on here.

How much is it hitting by? When I did the shorty headers on my car, my steering shaft just barely rubbed and i was able to loosen the bolts on the steering column move it slightly. I gained like 1/4" - 1/2" in clearance.

If you have the 1 5/8" they shouldnt hit. Check your motors mounts. they may be shot causing the motor to sit too low.

I dimpled mine to clear it. I used Fox body LT's on mine.

I had that problem but was also trying to install fox headers on my SN95, ended up just getting the correct part for the car.
