We'll see how I do with the mods I have. The H-pipe will stay when I get FI. I picked up a CF JLT CAI for $200. I'll sell it when I go FI.

Give it a shot and let us know how it goes? I would think that even without gears you would be near the 12 second flat range. This would make you competitive with your buddies cars with little investment.

In a way, yeah. Little invested into a $35k car, lol. Nice thing is I paid ~$950 for the pipe, programer/tunes, cai, 17x8 rims, and DR's.

That doesn't sound bad at all!

yeah, $950 for all of those parts is a very good deal. CAI and tune alone is upwards of $600.

Yeah, I did a lot of deal hunting. Got the CAI for $200 cash, H-pipe for $225 shipped, 4 wheels for $100 off CL, sold 2 for $90, 17" ET Street for $100 off CL, and BAMA tuner for ~$360 using forum discount then add in about $25 for mounting and balancing.

My goal was to get everything for the same price I sold my CS wheels for which was $900.

The wheels aren't very pretty but they will get the job done and the tires are almost down to the wear bars, plenty of passes left. Should last me over a year since I don't go often. There was another seller that had some ET's worn down pretty far for $65, but the pair for $100 was in far far better shape.

I did want to get 15"s, but that was absolutely impossible to do with my budget and I hate the ideal of having offset washers and special lug nuts.

Very resourceful...and the black wheels match up well with the black CS stripe.

Just went over my budget and ordered some LCA's and relocation brackets. Don't like what I've read about massive wheel hope when running DRs. I do like what I've read as far as LCA's plus relocation brackets equaling more consistent 60s as well as dropping them at least .1 Don't know if auto's need them as much as manuals, but should be worth it for $225. Plus I still have the mod bug but don't want to do anything else to the engine.

I will be in the same boat as well. I am shooting for a mid 11 second street car with the stock auto. My plans are full exhaust, tune, 4.10's, suspension, bolt-ons, BOSS intake and wheels/tires. Will keep ya posted on progress.

Please do. From what I've read LT's and gears are a prerequisite to fully utilize a Boss intake. You going to do the full suspension?
