Default Pertronix Ignitor I or II??

Hey guys... would someone with a little more technical savvy than me (which will be everyone) give me the run down on the two different pertronix ignitor's?

I'm thinking I'm going to go for the kit that ponderosa mustangs is offering for the:

Pertronix Ignitor, Flamethrower Coil, and 7mm wires...

Here are both sets on Ebay:

Ignitor II, Flamethrower, and 7mm wires VERY reasonable price of $165 total to your door.

or

Same thing with original Ignitor 1.. for 30 bucks less... $135 to your door.

I've been stuck in my hotel for the last 2 days and I've been trying to post this question with my Pocket PC... but it hasn't been working.. so I will be able to see any responses but I won't be able to respond.

Thanks guys!

The II will adjust the dwell angle as your RPM's change. Little bit better performance.

Yeah the II is the better choice. They learned a few things in the past few years. I have the I, but if I were to have a choice, I would buy the II. Hope you are having a good time where you are at. Get back to us when you get back home.

i have the 2. It has a microcontroller. It will shut off, to prevent something burning up. The 1 doesn't do that. It also adjusts the dwell, like ideal said, and it also allows you to run the flamethrower 2, and you get more spark/voltage.
