Default RE: The spongy brake pedal blues

Not to add to the problem here, but I too am having this prob. 65 Coupe -I have disk up front, drums in back, spongy kind of weak brakes. I have a proportioning valve already but am not exactly sure how to set it. What should i be going for here, increase to the back? or decrease to the back? and when will i know when is right? do i just keep adjusting until i feel better braking? and is it really that simple? there must be more about the proportioning valve that im not getting... or is it really just a cut off for the fluid/pressure going to the rear drums? Thanks all.

And i finally got my lights working -- so happy about that!

Thanks all.
