The little box is a RELAY.. it is probably powering something else.. Its a really strange place to put it.. Chase the wires and see where it goes.. What its hooked to.. Shouldnt be a relay on the alt wires.. There should be a relay for things like the lights, stereos, electric fans, anything that requires a bunch of amperage draw that a switch cant handle on its own.

Man my typin is goin south fast.. gotta fix everything before I post it.. stuid fat dyslexic fingers.. Im not dyslexic but my fingers apparently are.

Thanks for clarifying that. The VR is located on the passenger side on all Mustangs from 65-69. Here is a pic of mine. Now, get out your trusty drill and make it happen.

ok, so this is an underside view of whatever the little cube thing is....and the two blue wires appear to be grounded onto the the screw that holds the cube to the firewall one comes out of the little cube and straight to the mounting bolt, the other goes to the firewall...one red wire goes to the firewall....the other blue wire to the solenoid from one of the little terminals on the cube....

the next pic is the voltage regulator that i just bought....4 male connectors...4 female wires...i jsut need to know what ones go on what....

Trash that little box and hook it up correctly. How much guidance do you need?

Aha...good observation. I spent about 18 years in Japan and England, so I get my directions confused. You are correct, it is on the driver's side.

PS, i noticed two of the wires (1 red, 1 blue) go to the choke type thing on the carb...not the firewall.....the blue one just grounds on the firewall....and i dono where the red one should go....

another blue wire goes from the left terminal on the solenoid (+ batt side) to....???? i assume it would go to the "A" terminal as thats the batt terminal from what i can understand....

another one is supposed to just ground to the fire wall and go to a terminal on the voltage regulator....i dono which terminal though....

any help?
