Default ok ima get new heads(well new to me anyway)

so i found out that the PO had a **** poor rebuild done on the motor (289) and there were no hardend valve seats installed so i have been wondering why my car has been idling like crap and progressivly getting worse so i do a leak down test and its my valves so i am using this as an excuse to get some heads and i was thinking gt40 not p cause i don't wanna dick with the plugs any way i want to keep my compression ratio so i have to get the heads milled down a bit but i need to know if there will be any clearance issues (i don't think so cause i will leave my stock cam in for now its a money thing) and what all i will need and need to do i am prolly gunna pull from junk yard so i am gunna clean them as much as i can then take to machine shop get them worked on there then i need to know what push rods i will need and what head gasket to use and if memory serves these heads will have emission holes so they will need to be plugged right so how do i plug them and what spark plugs will i need

certain years i believe dont have emission ports but i believe u use the stock pushrods for ur motor and it uses the standard 289/302 head gaskets gaskets

They bolt right on with no clearance issues. I have them on my 68.

Try the Motorcraft/Autolite B-45 plugs. They are a tad hotter than the 42's.
