Default Noise Suppressors

I have two of these noise suppressors, I was wonding if they could be causing me battery problems and can I remove them, one is on the voltage regulator and the other in on the alternator.
I know they are for the radio, but do they effect anything else?and is it worth replacing them, those little gems are 20.00 ea and three auto store around my area don't carry them.

You can take them off and it won't affect anything. If you have a modern radio and modern spark plug wires the supressors are not necessary anyway. Keep them in a safe place though. You may get a ton of money forthem on Ebay later on.

or you can preserve them and make your own all they are its 47µF cap you can go to your local electronics supply and get a few and but them in a project box and then that will work much better than the oe one cause it will cover a broad range of frequencies
