Why not get a small aluminum of s/s fire extinguisher bottle, drill 1 hole about 1 or 2 inches from the bottom and 1 about 1 inch from the top, thread it for 90 degree fittings, polish it, install the fittings with a lexan site tube, mount it next to the radiator with some nice brackets and run a polished s/s line to it?

It would look a ton better than a plastic box.
Guess what you got.

Please explain exactly what about my suggestion is 'Mickey-Mouse', my understanding of MM being something on the order of some of the 'Mickey-Mouse' regulation and practices of certain members of the military. As in:

'What a Mickey Mouse bunch of B.S.' when refering to something that is a total waste of time and effort.

Making a really nice S/S or aluminum overflow tank rather than use a piece of plastic wouldn't qualify.
I say that every friggin day...

I think it's a trick idea. I'd rather have a shiny piece of ***.

Default RE: Plastic Radiator Overflow?

Hi!

Lot's of good info on here. I have the that plastic reservoir but I noticed it get's filled all the way to the top with coolant and bubbles excessively. Is this normal? The temp guage fluctuates from a little over halfto about 1/4.The Stangdoesnt seem to overheat but I guess everyone has their on opinion on what over heats means.

Is the bubbling normal? If not what causes it?

I have a 65 Coupe with an electric fan that pulls about 2300 cfm's of air (starts at a very low temp now because I set it that way). I have a new 10 pound radiator cap and a 180 degree thermostat (also new).

Please advice! Thanks guys!!
