Yeah, a 289 swap is overdone, that's why I went with a 347 in my 66 L6 Mustang! I lose the logic on this one. It is obviously not overdone by the person who owns the car and it is your car, do it your way.
You are doing it the right way - suspension and brakes first. Make the car safe and reliable. Then when you upgrade to a V8, you do so with confidence and great performance both going fast and stopping fast!

I want to do it with the suspension and brakes first. I'd hate to do it wrong and end up nose first in the dirt. I figure with the front end all apart I can get it all cleaned up in there as well. Thanks again.
