351w reverse water pump part#

so i have the right water pump? so its not the water pump thats making it overheat?? my step dad has been known to be wrong ocasionally. i think the block is clogged w/ crap cause it was sitting for like 2 months outside when i bought it. how do you un clog a block if that is it??

Um, you can try flushing it all out, but I doubt thats the problem. Are you sure it has a standard rotation pump on it now?It'd be hard to stop up a block. How long does it take to overheat? Did you build the engine? The reason I ask is because the head gaskets are supposed to go on a certain way, if you put them on backwards it can cause overheating.

im not sure if its a counter or standard pump... it takes like 15 minutes to overheat and no didn't build it. i think im just gonna take it off and go to napa to get the oppistie one i have now. this crap is confusing!

Ask them to look up one for an 80 model 302, and then for a 95, see which one you have now. The 95 will be reverse and the 80 will be standard.
