New to the mustang world, recently purchased a 69 Mach 1 that someone hacked up a little trying to take it back to original. The interior had carpet stapled throughtout all over the side trim quarter panels, fold down panels etc. I recently purchased all new interior trim pieces, my question is they appear to be very dull almost a flat black. Are they suppose to be painted with any special color paint? A friend has an original 69 GT 500 his interior almost appears to have a little bot of metallic in it?
