Default A/C Drain Tube HELP!!!

I am reaching out to all those A/C gurus out there. I just finished drilling a hole for the evaporator drain tube only to realize that I placed it right in the middle of the subframe rail under the car. I'm guessing that the drain won't work well if it drips into the railing.

My question for you is, where should the drain be located? Also, any recommendations for mig welding the hole up are appreciated. Please see the photos on my website:

Thanks and Happy New Year!

why is your drain tube so far away from the fire wall. seems that it should be up the firewall at least 6 or 8 inches. its going to drain with it there. looks like you ran it directly down from the ac unit.

You have the hole inside the crossmember- bad idea. It should be about 3" forward, and 2" higher up.
