I like the black ones. But on the other hand I like the chrome rims you have now better than those choices.

I prefer the ones you have now also but if you want that style it does look too dark next to the black tire and paint. You could photoshop it with just the spokes painted and leave the rim lip brushed alum. (dull silver) or polished alum. (shiney) to connect with the bumpers/trim. Much like the TTD's in my sig pic, my spokes will be painted satin black eventually.

Looking at your engine disassembled, don't forget you'll need a front sump oil pump pickup and pan. Don't forget to match the flywheel & harmonic balancer (28oz or 50oz) to the engine and waterpump, timing cover, eccentric, timing chain/gears to the year of the block. This will help avoid mismatched parts and scraping of the inside timing cover or the engine overheating due to a waterpump with the wrong rotation.

I most likely won't get those rims at all, just an idea I had while looking around at stuff.

I hope to get the block and crank back soon. I called them monday and told them to polish the crank, and that is all they had left. My dad has an edelbrock 1406 sitting around that just needs a rebuild, so I'm going to put that on there.

Ordered
50oz flywheel
67 clutch set
front sump oil pan
oil pump
weiand intake
HEI distributor
70 water pump
radiator hoses
rocker arms
alternator bracket

Still need
rering kit
carb rebuild kit
spark plugs
plug wires
front sump pickup screen
alternator
starter
bellhousing
clutch fork
A/C bracket
pulley set
fuel pump

Are you sticking with stock heads or doing any porting to them? If so it would be worthwhile to port match the weiand intake to the heads. If you're staying stock it probably wouldn't have much effect I'm guessing as the emission humps will still be obstructive in the heads.

You're moving right along, hope to be running myself by the time ya'll big show comes up in AL and make it down. I won't be painted yet so it'll have to be rust/ dull paint and all...

I'm hoping to make my first car show on April 16th. Think I went to only 2 car shows all last year, our may show and our fall show.

My hood and fenders are off at the painter and hope to get those back soon. Only need about $400 to finish it up, maybe $500.

Won a bellhousing off of ebay today. Also got my clutch, flywheel, necessary bolts, and alternator bracket assembly this week. I'm getting really close to finishing this up. Once I get my block and crank back I will be ordering my re-ring kit. I hope to get it all built up and put in the car. Then slowly get my pulleys and other necessary parts.

Well the 302 is in the car, but not bolted all the way down. Motor mounts didn't line up with frame mounts so now its just sitting in there. I ordered hopefully the correct motor mounts and will get them tuesday. I should also get my electric fan and circuit setup in tuesday as well.

What motor mounts did you use that were incorrect?
