Yeah today I took apart the carb to see what I could find out about it. Found 1 clogged jet and a lot of gunk in there. My dad had a problem with it idling under 2000 RPM and I think that might have been part of the problem. Will find out tomorrow, if it doesn't work I will be taking the carb off his truck. Also made a bracket and mounted my fuel pump.

And we have a problem. Its putting a major load on the ground wire of the alternator.

There should be an equal load on the + wire as well

Well it was enough to put out smoke. I think it was just a bad ground.
