Default heater hose kit

well seeing as im going to replace my heater core next i find i need the hoses. the two that come off the core are formed and one that goes to the manifold if formed. i was hoping to find a complete kit some where but not yet. i really dont want to pay $100.00 for a bunch of separate hoses. any one know where to buy a complete kit, its for a 70 with AC.

I don't know if a 70 has to have formed hoses or not, but if not, I always run my own heater hoses from regular old universal heater hose (i.e. cheap) and then I tie it up for neatness.

I want to say that say that this should work ok.

i suggest going to the junkyard and pulling the heater tubes off of a 5.0 mustang they go from the front of the engine to the rear and you just have small hoses from the tube to water pump and the tube to heater...it really cleans up the engine compartment and also reduces your chance of having a long heater hose get a hole worn through somewhere...

its looks like this laying across the top of the engine

If you are wanting concours correct there is kits that have the proper factory markings on the hoses and use the factory style clamps. But i would only use these on a concours restoration. The clamps arent the greatest for sealing and the kit is expensive.

If your car is a driver then i would say go to the local parts store and buy 7' of heater hose, radiator hoses(if the havent already been changed) and if you have a windsor the bypass elbow hose.

OK, it won't come to $100. What engine?

Oh, and those factory-style heater hose clamps? I love 'em, re-use a dozen+ times. Never had one fail. easy to use, quick and easy to tighten or release.

i have factory AC and the heater hose comes up the firewall then to the heater control valve, the other hose also comes up then to the front of the engine. i know i could of forced some hoses in there but seeing as the car is driven by my wife daily, and were here in arizona, i figured the ones that would have less restriction in the bend would last longer. anyway i found some on good old ebay.
