Default WINDOW WATER SPOTS FROM A SPRINKLER

*** NEVER MIND IM AN IDIOT I DIDNT READ THE THREAD BEFORE ME***I was over at a friends house the other day, and she turned on her sprinkler to water the lawn. Well, the spray was hitting my car. I thought nothing of it, but later on it left these nasty mineral deposits on my windows. Ive tried all that I could think of to get them off, but nothing seems to work. Any help please?

Don't know if you found an answer or suggestion so since I posted this in another thread I figured I would post it here as well.

The absolute best product I have ever used for cleaning windows, especially with water spots, is ceramic glass cleaner. Sears sells some called Cook Top. It is designed for cleaning ceramic glass top ovens.

I had a truck a few years back that had some real bad water spots and I tried everything you could think of and basically nothing worked well at all. Someone told me about this and it was unbelievable.

Directions:

1. Insure window is cleaned with window cleaner
2. Shake the bottle of ceramic glass cleaner real good.
3. Use a damp cloth and apply the ceramic glass cleaner.
4. Apply it in circular motion or up and down, don’t matter and you do NOT need to put much pressure on it.
5. Let haze which usually takes approx. 5 – 10 minutes depending on humidity.
6. Use a dry cloth to buff off.
7. Use normal glass cleaner to get any residue that may be left over off.

You can use this product on the outside or inside of windows UNLESS they have tint on them. Do not use it on the tint side of windows.

How did you get the water spots off the rest of your car?

McGuiers Gold car wax. I use this normally and it seemed to do the trick for me. Just wipe the area really good with a damp cloth before you apply it. It will dull the appearance of the spots, then apply like a normal waxing.
