Unless your local Ford dealerships are a major PITA, you are fine. I wouldn't worry about it. It sounds like Silver might have some beef with his shop </P>

 

I used to work at a Ford dealership,we were all a bunch of gearheads,we didn't care what somebody did to their car,we would warranty everything.But it's kind of up to the service manager to decide what gets covered.So,if you are wondering if something is going to void the warranty,go talk with and make friends with the service manager(not the service writer,they are stupid)and ask him if he will honor your warranty if you put on some aftermarket parts.They still get paid from Ford for doing warranty work and they probably don't want to turn work away.
