94-00 Mustang FE engine swap
Has anyone ever put a ford FE engine (such as the 390, 428, 352) in the model years 94 -00 Mustang?
If so, how much work is it shoehorning it in there? I have a 390 Big Block and was just wondering.

I'm sure that somebody, somplace has doe this but IMHO it would horrid.
The FE engine series are VERY heavy. The stock 5.0 cars already have at least 56% od the wieght on the front end, a 390 would probably result in 66%.
the only Fox body/FE swap I've ever seen was on a T-bird with a 428CJ in an attempt to run NHRA SS/GT class. thw car was sqiurrley and non-competitive. BTW, there must have been $50K spent on it and it was like 10 years ago...
Better idea, find a Fairlane/Torino from '68-'74 or so, whole thing screws right in.....

Not saying it isn't possible you then you would even more weight.
I'd try and peddle it to a 'restorer' or maybe some truck freak, use that $$ to start a 5.0 project......

The words 'HOT ROD' also don't mean that it's an overwieght deathtrap that has no brakes either.....
I've been at this game for a few years (40+), some swaps make sense and some don't.
How about a '68 'formal roof' fairlane to swap that into.
There is a fair amount of interest in the old FE engine series nowadays so I'd think it would be easy to get someone to take that off your hands......

I know what you mean by the weight, it was pretty difficult getting it on the engine stand.
But couldn't I beef up the front end and suspension to hold it all?
