They cant really tell you that it wont pass unless your missisng a peice of mandatory equipment I.E. the fuel evap canister. Its been a looong time since Ive been to Cali. but I think if you dont pass, you dont pay. So they may have been trying to save their own time. If so I would replace the canister ant demand a smog test. I could be wrong though about the dont pass, dont pay thing though so ask first.

 

find a friend or relative who has a '95 GT and look under the hood of that car to see what is missing in yours. or go to the nearest junkyard and find one there and you can take the cannister off one from the junkyard.

 

i went on bbk web site and the 70mm is street legal and the cats should be ok. i get it smoged this friday with the canister on it , it should past this time.

 

Yea, can't see any reason why you can't pass with the canister.
