put the 5.7 in the stang and you will have the best of both worlds....

 

put a 5.7 in a stang and would have best of both worlds uh no . i dont agree i seen few stangs with 350 chevy motors in them and hated it cause i think thats not even right doing that to a stang its a ford and leave it as a ford seen a stang on a site once had 350 in it and was set up real nice i told the guy to put ford motor back in it and id think bout buying it. i think any 1 that puts a chevy motor in a stang dont deserve a mustang

 

If you just want a stock rocket, a5.7 Firebird outperforms both Stangs and Camaros during the years you listed. But a lightly modified 5.0 will smoke most modified GMs. It's not just engine size you have to look at.
