Default First Mustang Engine Question

This is my first time owning a car like this, and I love it. This might be a dumb question, so forgive my inexperience:
When accelerating greatly, the temperature in the cabin rises noticeably, especially around my legs. Naturally, I'm assuming its from the engine. Is this a normal thing that I'm just not used to?
Thanks in advance.

Here is a weird one for you:
I can drive with the passenger window down, and enjoy the temperature of the
outside air. However, if I open up the driver window, the circulation then pulls
heat from somewhere, and I can feel it as it drafts upward. I even had my
wife in the car, and showed her, she felt it as soon as I opened up the driver
window. If both my widows are closed, I get nothing.

There is supposed to be a neutral position when the HVAC fan is off, yours
may slightly set to the foot heat area... There can be ambient heat from the
firewall, that would be radiant heat. I would also guess that when both my
windows are open, air passes over the inside of the firewall, and pulls the
ambient heat off it...

The heat and air shut off automatically when you floor it, so the engine can have more power It's normal...………….

So when i floor it, and it gets hotter in the cabin (and stays hot for awhile after) this is a normal thing?
I just want to be sure that I'm not messing up my first ever Mustang!!!
Thanks again.

does it have headers on it..?. they might be getting red hot and hence you feel that heat through the firewall.

I don't know what headers are, but I doubt it because it's all 2018 factory stuff. 5.0 automatic transmission

I just got one too and mine is definitely noticable. I thought i had my heater running. I think there gets to be, a buildup of heat innthe tunnel maybe ? Im going to go ahead and put some insulation
