Default exhaust problems??

Helloooo out there......I have a '94 mustang that somehow lost her get up and go. Just had the motor mounts done and the next day was driving her and even flooring it only could get up to like 35mph. Sounded really wierd too. My thinking was maybe the cat converters?? Please advise.....

To check if the cats are plugged hook up a vacuum gauge and rev her up to a steady rpm. If it drops then it could be the exhaust (cats) are plugged. I don't think that would happen suddenly but maybe it was gradual and you didn't notice. The other thing is that the exhaust would make a hissing sound when revved.

Seriously doubt that your cats would be so clogged that it would keep you from going over 35mph that fast. Maybe if they changed your motor mounts something didnt line back up. Try taking your h-pipe off and running it around the block. That will tell you if that is the problem. You have the options of gutting the cats on the h-pipe or replacing it with another one. Try bassani or prochamber. I reccomend one with 2 high flow cats and not the off road pipe with no cats. Little back pressure is a good thing and the sound is much better in my opinion.
