Default Torque spec on girdle cover bolts

I'm going to do the rear end fluid this weekend and was wondering what the torque spec is on the rear-end girdle cover bots. Tried a search.

I don't know, but it can't be much. Someone with a manual help this guy out.

I used a pump to suck mine out.

Ok, here we go......I do not understand if you have or do not have the cover already installed. So, I will explain as installing a new cover(aluminum girdle style). The 10 mounting bolts are torqued to a MAX. of 25ft-lb. The 2 bearing cap loading bolts are torqued to MAX. 5ft-lb. NOTE: remember to back the pre-load bolts all the way back....don't want contact when installing the cover. Now, the cover Should have a fill plug and a drain plug. These only need to be cincheddown. They a have slight taper in the threads. Fill with the proper fluid, friction modiferand your done

Can I assume the same spec's for the factory girdle? I'm just replacing the fluid, and would like to take off the cover to clean everything up before putting in Royal Purple. Then put the factory cover right back on.

Uh, the factory cover doesn't have a girdle.

Yes, the stock cover is just a stamped steel piece. I do not remember the factory torque specs on them.
