Single Ford GT fuel pump, how much rwhp??
I'm talking about the GT supercar pump. I've been told it flows more than the stock mustang gt pump. Anyone know if it will support 420rwhp or would I be better off selling it and getting a BAP for the stock pump?
I'm trying to hammer out all the details before I spend anymore money. I'm not going to be making more than 420rwhp.

Moose, I'm having one installed at the moment to support my Nitrous. I was using a 125 shot (422 rwhp) and had no problem with the stock one. However, I was switching to the Gt pump to give me a little growing room on the Nitrous.

did you buy the paxon..well your questions are leading me to believe you will be spending more than you think.
anyway. i make 452 with twin screw on a stock pump. all i did was run a bigger wire to the pump to give it more amperage. as long as it has more amperage it will be ok. your blower will also be centrifigul, unlike twin screw which is more immediate boost, your blower will essentialy hit later in the rpms, which will also make it easier on the pump. 420 on stock pump with 39lb injectors will be fine. just run the bigger gauge wire.

Hey moose didn't you say you weren't going past 380?

I've been reading on swapping fuel pumps and I realize the GT pump doesn't just plug in. I was planning on just cutting the stock harness and using female crimp connectors to plug onto the new pump. I keep reading you need to solder the connection, but i'm not sure why? I never had a crimp connection come un crimped.

Like the title said, single pump. The Ford GT does use dual pumps.

A Ford GT super car makes 500+ rwhp in stock configuration, your injectors would give up before that GT super car fuel pump would......................aren't they dual pumps btw?

I might have, but people have made 419 on the SC i'm looking at, so I want to be prepared.

I think your okay with the stock pump at 420. I ran it on the nitrous with no problem. However, the shop told me I had to go to the gt (single pump) if I wanted to up the shot. They said I was getting near a bottle neck with the existing pump. Since I'm planning later upgrades I decided to go ahead and have them do the pump.

I don't know the flow rates of the GT Supercar pump, but I am running a single GT Supercar pump and a 40amp BAP set to 30% and have plenty of fuel at 500rwhp. Duty cycles are well within safe ranges.
