mine was bone stock when it did it about a year ago. pulled over, started it up again and hasn't done it since.[&:]

This happened to my wife's last car (2003 Ford Explorer). She was going about 35 mph in town and the car just shut off- no power steering, power brakes, etc... The car was only about a year old at the time. Two kids in the car- it totally freaked her out. She was 1/2 mile from home. She had it towed from our house to the Ford garage. They had it for two days and found nothing wrong with it. They thought she was crazy. Never did it again.
